By now you've guessed I'm pretty new to this game.
This bird was photographed about two weeks ago at Lake Victoria, Point Lonsdale. It was a good deal smaller than all other shorebirds in the vicinity at the time. And very fast on its feet.
Perhaps a stint? If so which type.

Hi Frank - I moved it to identifications for you. I am rubbish at shorebirds but my first thought was a red-capped plover. Not 100% though...
