Couple of days at Gluepot and hot again Looking forward to going when it's cool.
So that's my excuse for spending some time at the watering hides altough did do some long walks for average results. Very dry there and consequently bird numbers seemed to be down though a bad weekend at Gluepot is maybe a good weekend elsewhere. Highlights were a Brown Goshawk coming in for a bath and my first Striped Honeyeater plus a Weebill Treecreeper.
Lots of Brown Headed,Yellow Plumed honeyeaters plus a bonus couple of White Fronted and White-Eared. May have seen my first Hooded Robin as well but needs to be confirmed. All in all a good weekend.
Awesome photos! I love the one with two honeyeaters.
Great shots! I too like the one of the honeyeaters, they look strangly friendly for honeyeaters
I also love the shot of the weebill, such cute birds
Thanks for sharing!
Honeyeater galore! Love them all of course, partiularly the White-fronted.
great pics as usual Rick, hard to pick a best of
Peter
Great shots Rick.
To me they are all best shots as they would all be firsts for me.
Have to visit this Gluepot reserve someday.
I'm guessing spring is the best time.
I agree all great shots. The tree in the second photograph looks like a prickly place to choose to perch.
Samford Valley Qld.
Thanks all.
Reflex, Devster, get yourself down to Adelaide sometime, happy to introduce you to Gluepot.
Prickly, dense habitat seems to be Chestnut Rumped Thornbills favourite perch, much to my chagrin at times
Thanks for sharing these great photos! Your skill with the camera is a delight for the eye!

Wollemi
