While I'm on this topic, there are a few others which I never bothered confirming which flycatcher they were, so appreciate confirmation on whether they are leaden of satin.
Wanniassa Hills (canberra) in January
Urriarra crossing (Murrumbigee river, canberra) in January
Ryu Canberra Aiming for DSLR-quality shots with a bridge camera
I'd say the last 2 are male Leaden Flyctacher's, due to the white feather shafts on the tail and the upward curve on the breastband (Leaden's can still appear glossy in certain light).
I'm not willing to call on the first one, MAYBE Leaden? Rufous colouring on breast is variable and not a good indicator.
Neither actually. It's a female Restless Flycatcher
Location's always helpful!
I'll second the Restless Flycatcher
Thanks so much. Another new one for me :)
