In my back yard - NSW Northern Tablelands. First saw it in the cottoneaster tree next door eating the berries but was then after the insects on my outdoor table & chairs.

I would try Spotted Bowerbird?
Female or Juvenile.
Cheers Beef
I'll second that looks like a young one to me.
It's a shame about the cotoneaster, kiskat. That's a feral species, the seeds of which can be spread into bushland by birds eating the berries. Is your neighbour responsible enough to have a plan for sensitively removing any escapee cotoneaster plants from the bush? Or even removing the cotoneaster from his/her garden & replacing it with something non-invasive?
Thank you. It is nice to have another type of bird around.
Woko, yes the cotoneaster is a problem. I doubt my neighbour responsible enough to do that. I removed one from my yard as soon as I moved here, along with the holly bush that was planted next to it.
Hopefully, the example you're setting will rub off on your neighbour, kiskatt.
