Nice variety of shots of the black cockatoos laza - great photos.

(I have never seen any variety of black cockatoo, and I am very keen to get a sighting of one. I thought my luck had changed last week when in the distance i saw a large black bird with a large white beak glide into some trees. I eagerly approached expecting a black cockatoo, but was bitterly disappointed to discover a raven holding a golfball in its beak.)

Thanks for the comments guys,

Yes WD they are lovely bird and while I get plenty of sightings of the white and red tails here in South West WA. Normally they flying over or perched up in the shadows of very large trees.

I was very lucky to come across these guys sitting in the shrubs just off the coast and quite relaxed that I could get within a few metres of them

Dont take life too seriously, it never ends well

Great photos. I am still yet to see white and red-tailed black cockatoos.

Beautiful photographs there of Carnaby's Black Cockatoo (probably), going by the short beak and heathy habitat.
