He's there 5 out of 7 days a week in our little Dam out the front.  I hear him splash when I am out having breakfast on the balconey, he hits the water quite hard and we're 50km from town down a dead end dirt road, no noise at all.

He's sitting on a stick I poked in the waters edge when we had a drought last year and the level was looow. It's since come way back up past that.  Here's a pic from the outer side of the Dam wall, looking back at the mud brick cottage.  My parter on the front steps 

The Dam has little fish and frogs of all sorts, attracting him, Kookaburras and other Kingfishers

and a variety of other water birds like a pied cormorant, herons etc   Has native tortises as well as being a refuge for macrpods of all sorts when it's a drought, so they have somewhere to go for a drink
