This is a Large-billed Scrubwren (very plain plumage, large bill and the dark eyes stand out against the paler face).
Most Thornbills have streaking and/or scalloping, while Brown Gerygones have a white eyebrow. The colour is wrong and the bill too large for both of these.
Because of your good photos we don't need location, but it's always helpful to include it.
Sorry about the location, it was Miala National Park at Mt Glorious, Qld.
It caught me out again.
Because of it's slightly smaller size and being in the trees unlike it ground forging White-browed and Yellow-throated Scrubwrens which were also around the place, it fools me into the Thornbill/Gerygone race, Doh!
