Ok so just need to confirm that #1 is a white-fronted tern??
#2 is a Wood Sandpiper maybe Terek Sandpiper or a wandering tattler?
#3 still trying to figure these guys out. But if someone can help me get there faster that would be great.
Thanks. Ohh they were seen at flat rock between ballina and Lennox Head NSW
Thanks
Hi, I'm a newbie on the block for aussie species so correct me if wrong for this one, But the first ones are lesser creasted terns? (They are not W-F, they are smaller and have a black bill.(WF are common in NZ too))
The 3d photo is of turnstones (Common Wader in NZ)
I'm really bad at waders, so I cannot say for the middle ones

Lesser Crested's are either out of range or on the very edge of it. I would say they're (Greater) Crested Terns - white forehead, large, curved bill, more yellow than the orange/red of Lesser Crested (this can vary).
Second is Grey-tailed Tattler - yellow legs, longish straight bill and broad white stripe in front of and extending behind the eye (white stripe is narrower and doesn't extend behind eye in Wandering).
I agree with Ruddy Turnstone - very stocky with short orange-red legs and distinctive patterning.
When were these taken Nick?
Ah right i never saw the crest of these guys. Weird.
Thanks guys and thanks for the closer detail of the tattler. Very hard to tell the difference.
This was taken 25/07/15 about 5pm
I'll 2nd all those ID's by Owl of Kedumba.
agree with those IDs but also wanted to suggest that, if you are a local, you should visit Flat Rock on a regular basis especially when the shorebirds return
