Major Mitchell's Cockatoo now AWC Bowra, Cunnamulla visit
I went for a drive to Bowra Sanctuary near Cunnamulla, Qld last week and was pleased to find a MMC feeding on the roadside between St George and Cunnamulla
(Australian Ringneck - Port Lincoln Parrot is the nominate race and counted as a species, in addition I have seen/got pic of Twenty-Eight Parrot and Malle Ringneck and therefore 2 ssp count)
No pic of 21 but I need to recount after the recent big efforts on sorting my pics.
Thats a beauty!
Stunning colours!!

i wonder what the purple flower in the background of the major mitchell's pic is??
I saw Araminta's 'Emu chick' thread and that reminded me of the number of dad Emu and chicks that I had seen on my Bowra trip
Peter
Those chicks are the fluffiest things I have ever seen. Nice photo Peter.

Gorgeous pics Peter. There's just something about arid country birding, isn't there?
