I captured (by photo) this guy in my backyard. Very small bird eating insect as seen in picture attached. It is not big enough to be a Forest Kingfisher (bird guide book mentioned 18 - 23 cm).

+4 for Sacred also.
Traci - I think you need to run bird tours from your back yard!
Dave, Sydney.
I have got another pictures of Kingfisher (small size about 12cm) taken on 24th Oct 2015 at Brisbane QLD. Not sure whether it was from one bird. May help with identification process.

Lovely photos, Trac.

I'm pretty sure that is also a sacred because of the buff spot before the eyes, but I'm not sure.

Thanks TheBirdLover and Tegan. Shall we settle for a baby Sacred Kingfisher unless I capture another picture in a year time and it remains the same size (12cm) ? From Field Guide book Sacred Kingfisher size is between 20 - 23cm ?
Yeah Trac, that's what confused me, it's way too small to be an adult Sacred, so probably an immature or juvenile, also what other birds do you get in your garden trac? It seems like a paradise for birds!

Knowing that you are relatively new to birdwatching I wanted to make sure that you understood bird measurements.
The quoted measurement is of the bird lying in a supine position and extended at either end,
eg the Sacred Kingfisher at 20-23 cm (p296 Pizzey) would be flat and the bill would extend further than the head and the tail would extend further than the legs, your bird looks bigger than 12 cm
the Noisy Pitta at 18-21 cm (p300 Pizzey) wold be measured from the extended bill to the extended legs and an owl would be from top of head to tail tip

Hi Peter,
Many thanks for providing more information about bird measurements. I have got another picture of this Kingfisher standing on my pool post. As fence post head is about 50mm, more accurate estimate of this bird size is between 17cm - 20cm that fits the Guide Book measurements. I was wrong in putting the initial size estimate at 12cm. It is a positive match with juvenile Sacred Kingfisher.
