Is this a Pied Currawong ?

I got these pictures of this large bird, making loud distinct call at Brisbane QLD this afternoon. With white marking at the end of the tail, under the tail and under both wings. Is it a Pied Currawong ?

Regards,

Trac

It could be (and probably is).  Another possibility is grey currawong.  They are sometimes a dark grey.  However, they are less common than black (pied) currawongs.

Yes it is. The last pic shows why it is not a Grey.

Yes, definitely a Pied Currawong. You're getting better at identifying birds, Trac. You'll be a pro in no time!

Grey Currawong being less common than Pied is dependant on where you are in Aus!

To clarify, Grey Currawongs don't have the second white band at the base of the tail, hence this bird is a Pied
