I can't work out what type of ducks they are (if they are ducks), but the splashes of water look great.

I was surprised when I saw ducks in sea water, especially when for over 70 years I thought they were freshwater birds; at least I think they are Wood Ducks. I would like to add a photo, but I got totally confused by the adding a picture when I don't have a URL and I don't understand, I think it is written in Latin!!

Nice pic. They are not wood ducks, Woko, they have a large white bar in their wing visible with their wings open. These are Eurasian Coot, and seemingly running on water is a common sight for coots, especially when they see a person with 'food'

Mine was more than a rough guess, Ryu. More like a randomly, spasmodic, impulsive stab in the dark. Who has ever seen Wood Ducks gambolling about like that on top of the water?

not me, woko

i see them more on land than in water, in fact.
