Gerygone? Thornbill?

??? Saw this in a small patch of mangroves (north-eastern NSW). It was extremely curious of me, coming witin 30cm of me, making "chet"/chat" sound...

I don't have much expirience with the little birds, however I would say that this is a White-browed Scrub Wren. It might have a nest nearby, they can be very protective! Just wait for a few others to confirm this though :)

Sorry I just saw this post. It is definately a White-Browed Scrub Wren. I happened to see your post last week OTG23, the one of your Blue Tongue Lizard. I just wanted to let you know that in actual fact, your photo was of a Pink Tongue Lizard. They are smaller and more slender than a Blue Tongue and have a slender pink tongue instead of a thick blue tongue. I used to breed them, so I liked your photo but noticed you had the name mixed up. They also tend to be a bit more agressive than a Blue tongue and also have a long slender tail rather than a thick tail. One of my favourite Lizards. Cheers Devon
