Buff-Rumped Thornbill?

Or an immature Brown Thornbill? Taken at Mount Glorious SE Qld this morning. It hasn't got the red eye of a Brown Thornbill or the brown forehead. It was one of a pair that were busy in a tree.

Probably a Buff-Rumped Thornbill...It's very cute!

Is the beak a bit too large for a Thornbill? I would have leant more towards Immature Large Billed Scrubwren. What do others think?

I would never have identified it from this photograph.Just so that I know for future what are the distinguishing features that make you both so sure?

Hi Reflex . The features i use (in the field) to distinguish the BG from the aforementioned Thornbills are:

a)  size (slightly smaller than the thornbills)

b)  white brow

c) it's call, which is fairly repetitive and not as melodious as the thornbills. It becomes fairly easily recognisable once youve heard it a few times.

Hi Reflex, the other day I got this shot of a Buff-rumped thornbill in a similar pose to your Brown Gerygone, thought you might be interested to see the comparison.
