Hi Tegan,

it is worth persisting. Once you get it it is easy!

I found the only difference between the instructions on this site and what I needed to do was that when I right clicked I had to choose "copy shortcut"

Regards

Hi Tegan, not sure if you have seen this thread, might be worth a revisit, to make sure your not missing something in the process. Good luck, looking forward to your photos.

You're not alone, tegan. My experience with computers tells me that programme designers live in a world of their own & have great difficulty putting themselves or don't even care to put themselves in the position of the people who have to use their programmes. The computer world is extremely unproductive in many ways. Intuition is not their strong point.

I use an iPad, but until today have not had a Flickr account. Set one up, to try and sort for iPads, no joy to date. I can copy and past a link, but that needs to be followed to my Flickr account, which I am not that happy with. Will do some more work, and see what I can find out.

I normally use photobucket, which just requires to copy and paste the IMG code, but I can't find such codes in Flickr. Photobucket is a bit restrictive, unless you buy some space, but is fine for my low volume of photos.

Not winning, can copy link as above, but you need to click on it to display. This was done using the Flickr app from the App Store. Still looking.

Hi Tegan, still no luck, have emailed Flickr admin to try and get an answer. Possibly not the solution you are looking for, but if you want to investigate Photobucket (also free, but perhaps not as good as Flickr), follow the instructions on this thread. Apparently used to work with Flickr, but not any more. I can pm with more instructions if you have difficulty following. Pretty straight forward. All of my photos have been uploaded using this method, mostly from the iPad.

Ok out of desperation I got the Flickr app, and it's a lot easier, there is a shar button which is a little arrow, so I click the photo I want, press the share button, and a number of options show up, one says copy URL, so that is what I do, but I can't figure out how to post the photo, I tries just pasting the link onto my post, didn't work, so then I tried clicking that window button with the green dot and passing the code where it says paste URL, but still dosnt work, can anybody help?

Try putting the link between html img tags: <img> url </img>

Tegan, This is all I do and it works  for me. To post a photograph from Flickr:

Select a photograph from your photostream and left click on it.

This should make the photograph appear as a single photograph.

In the bottom right hand corner of that screen you will see what looks like an arrow upside down with a line underneath it.

Left click on that arrow and a box will appear with different sizes for you to chose from.

Using your mouse hover over one of the sizes and it will become highlighted. I usually use Large (2048 X 1336).

Now right click (once only )on that size and another box will appear giving you six options.

Choose Copy Link address and left click on it.

Now got to BIBY in another browser and in a new comment area hover your mouse over the fourth box from the left that has what looks like a horse shoe upside down and left click on the image on its left it should prompt a little box with "Image" written inside it.

Left click on that and it will bring up another box with URL on it in blue . Paste the URL in there by using Ctrl +V or just click on paste  and that will paste the URL from your chosen image into that box.

Last step hit the green box at the bottom that says OK.

Wait a second or two to allow it to load then press Save right down at the bottom of that page and that's it.

Any more problems PM me and I'll talk you through it.

I essentially made a video going through the steps of reflex's post, hopefully it makes it easier to follow

EDIT: Alternatively if you're using internet explorer rather than chrome, instead of "copy link address" you'll have the option "copy shortcut" which achieves the same thing, and firefox uses "copy link location" (@0:35)

Oops I see, the problem stems from you using an ipad, I didn't follow the thread too closely. I assume you don't have access to a desktop or something of the sort? Anyway, you can follow the steps outlined above if you can access the desktop version of the website, which you should be able to do on your ipad by following these steps: http://wccftech.com/request-desktop-site-ios-9-safari or http://www.tekrevue.com/tip/request-desktop-site-ios-8, depending on which operating system your ipad is running. In general a right click is mimiced on tablets by applying constant pressure to the area for a while.

Best of luck getting it working, it'd be a shame to miss out on all your wonderful photos.
