Taken Upper SE of SA near Keith.

The bill is too small for GST(Grey Shrike-thrush). I reckon Whistler, but not sure which one. The rufous edging on the wing suggest young bird.

Female Gilberts Whistler I think. It's not a Golden Whistler. Nice find (if it is a Gilberts Whistler).

Rufous edging to primaries should be diuagnostic of Golden. Why not Golden, Tim?

I should have said "I think its not a Golden Whistler" but the reason I think that is immature Golden Whistlers normally have more brown on the base of their beak and their eyes are usually a darker brown. Also looking at photos of Gilberts Whistler females they also have a bit of rufous on their wings. It also looks closer to the colour of a Gilberts than a Golden.

I have to agree with Ryu on this one. Although the bill is dark it does appear to have a slightly pale base to it and the colouring looks better overall for Golden Whistler. From what I can gather, a female Gilberts would appear more uniform grey overall, with less (or no) rufous in the wings. From all the photos of Gilberts that Ive looked at the bill shape is slightly different too (Gilberts is thicker at the base than Golden).
