Most of the guides suggest that the Tasmanian Thornbill has a whiter underparts and rufous edges to the wings. The only one I was confident about was in a very dark damp forest but it had those characteristics. However, I have seen Brown Thornbills in a number of places in Tasmania. Hope that is of some help.
Bottom photo is a Brown Thornbill (taken in Tasmania as well)
I just looked up the differences on this site. White underpants is one of the main ones, hard to tell on your photos. I thought a shorter bill was one, but, doesn't mention it.
Definately not Yellow-rumped.
Looks somewhat different to the brown thornbills I'm used too, but that could be local variation
I'm not familiar with the Tasmanian Thornbill

Looks like a Brown though haven't seen a Tasmanian.

Thanks Peter. I'm going to go with Thornbill I think. Just not 100% happy that's correct. Where's Zosterops?

I will look tonight and see if I got a pic of Brown Thornbill in Tas, my memory says no

Thanks Sue. I'm going with Brown Thornbill.

For my 2 cents worth I would bet on Brown Thornbill. Tassie Thornbill has a pale underside as opposed to buff-brown.
