Great shots mhubbard1, fortunately they are frequent visitors to my backyard (Lismore NSW) as well. Also love the colour around the eye, took a shot of one recently that must have been in transition to maturity that had both green and blue.
All good Murray, new camera owner myself so I know what you mean. Love these birds though, had five at once in one of my trees a couple of days ago but all flew when I got out the camera.
Hi Brian. Yes, the ones here are also camera shy which makes it a challenge to get good shots. We just spent a few days in the caravan down at Woody Head caravan park near Iluka and the Bluefaces down there are more accustomed to people and land on your table or van, almost posing. I must admit I prefer the natural look in images rather than having man made objects in the shot. Cheers.
Thanks HelloBirdy. From what I can gather both at home and on this forum there is a mutual dislike between these honeyeaters and Magpies. Makes for wonderful entertainment at times.

Thanks Brian, Still coming to grips with new camera. Have a shot out of focus that shows this bird has blue starting just below the eye.
Cheers,
Murray
