Hey guys,
i am at Bowra station at the moment and i got this Falcon i thought was a Black but it may be a dark brown? Help please.

Love those photos. Certainly no expert, but looking at the barring, thinking Brown, but is is very dark. As always happy to be wrong.

see how you can see the speckles of light shining through the wing and tail feathers on the Brown, this is absent in Black Falc.
a rather useful id feature missing from the fieldguides from what i've seen.

Another easy hint is that Browns have upswept wings, this is never seen in Black Falc which fly on flat or downswept wings.
