Shining Bronze Cuckoo

Well my great birding run continues this year. A new tick for me both photographic and my first visual ID of a Shining Bronze Cuckoo. Plus a Ring neck close up and feeding session

Congratulations on the shining bronze cuckoo - nice sheen on the back in second pic.

Fantastic colours in the parrots - great photos.

Very nice shots Laza. Have only seen Horsfields and struggle to pick between them, did you have a call ID? Not questioning the ID just interested for my future reference. Parrots are crackers, lovely.

Cheers

Thanks for all comments

Ironically enough I was down hiking in Stirling national park today and came  across another one, go figure :).

Hi Rick

Im not expert I based it on the fact that on Nevills Birds of Greater South West which states Shining has no prominent eye stripe.

Plus Horsfields doesnt tend to get this far into lower south west

Thanks Brian and Dev

Dev speaking of Ringnecks I headed down Stirling ranges about 250 kms south.

Took a picture of one sub species of ringnecks.

Besides the lack of red above the beak, the distinct brest plummage colour change compared to ones above is quite interesting
