Having some glorious weather in Sydney with the start of spring and I have been noticing how many flowers are blooming! Thought it was a good opportunity to showcase some shots of flowering natives - with birds in the shots if you want, or without
Rainbow Lorikeet and Dusky Honeyeater taken last week off our verandah. Who needs bird feeders when you have native plants? (Sunshine Coast, QLD)

The Wallum Heathland by the coast here on the Sunshine Coast is flowering at the moment. I spent a couple of hours mid day yesterday walking near Currimundi Lake and these are some of the photos of the wildflowers. It is well worth a visit if you are in the area.
We also saw many birds including Golden and Rufous Whistlers, Restless Flycatchers, Variegated Fairy Wrens, White cheeked Honeyeaters (first for us), White Browed Scrub wrens, Mistletoe Birds, Rainbow Bee Eaters, White Bellied Sea Eagles, and of course the usual Little Wattlebirds, Lewins and Brown Honeyeaters, Drongos etc. A wonderful day!

Apologies Rob, flowers are not my specialty but I think your lorrikeet is tucking into a banksia rather than a Bottlebrush.
