The reserve out front is a real magnet for native birds, and with so many different species all breeding in close proximity it's a bit like the Battle of Britain out there of late.
There's a Magpie with his nest a bit further down, who is a threat, and I've seen smaller birds of different species; Mudlarks, Noisy Miners, Willy Wagtails, and even White-plumed Honeyeaters all working together to drive off the Magpie.
The male Mudlark has become so aggressive that he's even attacking his own reflection in the roof of the neighbours car.
Amazing photos ... you are getting a lot of great shots just outside your front door. I really like the first one with the great reflection.
Fantastic set of photos mate
Dont take life too seriously, it never ends well
Awesome set. I may have mentioned this on here at some point already but some time ago, there was a magpie-lark at the bus station that was dive-bombing the side mirror of the bus that I was on, flying across the road and dive-bombing the side mirror of another bus, and then coming back and repeating the whole process again and again.

Aiming for DSLR-quality shots with a bridge camera
Great shots. I love the 1st one. They are not the smartest of birds. We have a female that craps all over our veranda attacking itself in the windows.
Wonderful set of shots, really like the one of it taking flight.
