Some may be interested in seeing the plumage changes in this fledgling in its first 9 weeks in the outside world.

Today it seems to be wearing chevron braces and I think it is very handsome.

Many thanks for your comments HelloBirdy, alcatraz, oconnore51, Relex and Dmenace.

We were over in the Sutherland area on Friday, by a creek leading to the Hacking River,

and spotted two adult P_owls in the canopy. Sadly there was the body of a recently fledged

juvenile on the ground beneath them. Terribly sad and a bit too decomposed to work out the

cause of death.
