Would someone help me identify this almost fledged squawker, which was found on a train at Edgecliff station yesterday morning. The train had been on the South-Coast Line prior to it's Eastern Suburbs service.

Yes i think you're right.
There are green feathers appearing.
Thank you.
Being left on a train I thought at first it might be a Passenger Pigeon. Then I realised that species is extinct.
would like to put another bird up, Green Cat Bird Fledgeling Notice dull white spots on wing and short streaks above these are very white on adult bird also the primary outer feathers are dark these are black on adult bird Green Cat Bird is found in Sdyney suberbs this is just my obsevation and just my feeling in what it COULD be only Good Birding Jim
Pretty sure its a Satin Bowerbird, here's one I breed in my aviaries a few years back. Green Cat birds are much brighter green and have a lighter coloured beak
I have been feeding it a little meat and mostly fruit. Is there anything else i should be doing?
Hey Hamlet, I didn't realize you were feeding it or I would have buzzed in earlier. Young birds required a lot of livefood. Mealworms, Crickets, Moths etc. I'd have on offer dried puppy biscuits and frozen veggies (peas, corn, carrot). You can still add diced fruit to this.
Go to your local pet shop and buy some Wambaroo Insectivore Mix and sprinkle over moist food, fruit and veggies. This contains vitamins and minerals.
I used to have on offer a maintenance crumble I made myself. But is a bit of a chore to make so wont go into that.
Mature birds are easy to care for. Chook pellets and dog biscuits, bit of fruit and veg and occansional live food.
Hope this helps.
If you need any more advice just yell out.
Thank you!
I have access to mealworms and will get some Wambaroo Insectivore Mix.
I think this poor chick would benefit from the company of other satin bowerbirds.
Does anyone have an aviary with other satin bowerbirds who is willing to take her/him?
Thanks,
hamlet
You should get in touch with a local wildlife caring group. Some contacts on http://www.birdsinbackyards.net/forum/Bird-rescuerehabilitation/What-do-if-you-find-injuredsick-bird-check-here-first
Ideally one in the area the bird would have likely come from
