Stunning shots maxhr, great composition and the clarity is amazing.

Brilliant photos.... hope the fan kept you a bit cooler in the hide.

What is bird #1 ?

I really like #2, with the colours, patterns and smooth look of the water - plus the bird enjoying a moment to cool off.

Thanks Brian, WD.
The first bird is a Rufous Whistler.

Very remarkable shots maxhr. You certainly have your own unique style which is great.

Maybe I need to set up something a bit better near my bird baths. I mainly just get noisy Miners and Crows in mine, but I wonder what would happen if I set up my hide and spent a few hours out there.

Do you find it more popular mornings or afternoons?

Thanks everyone, i find afternoons best, 3pm-5;30pm,  but  it needs to be in shade.

the water can get incredibly hot in the sun, i clean and fill mine daily.

the birdhide itself gets really hot as well, had a fan blowing the other day, made a big difference
The birds need to be in the area, -i'm surrounded by small 5 acre blocks which have some native tree/vegetation cover.

it's so dry atm, the driest i have ever seen it, somehow the birds are surviving.

Great set, like others particulary love #2. Hopefully you've seen the last of such high temps for the season now
