@ alcatraz - Yes kneeled down for these shots, like to get a few shots from different heights when possible.
@Ryu - You are spot on about the light, last couple of hours of the day.
@WD - Stoked with four new ticks, takes the tally to 140 with a couple still to be ID from our recent trip away.

Well done Brian. 4 ticks is always good to get. The crow shot is my second favourite of your shots. It was kicked out . . . (see what I did there) by the Double Banded Plover shot as it would be a new one for me, plus I love the colour of ther water and the contrast to the rocks and bird.
Thanks Devon, strange how sometimes it takes others to point out qualities in your own photo's that you haven't noticed yourself. As for the crows that is the first shot of a sequence of three. The other two are below now, it all happened so fast that i didn't move the camera quick enough to capture the last shot properly but you can see he meant business.
Wow he really did mean business.
