Hoping someone can identify this little bloke. I thought it was a brown thornbill but it my books it shows them with white flecks on the breast and face. There were a pair of them and I didn't hear any call while I was observing them. Clarence Town, NSW.
Try Large-billed Scrubwren. Plainish with long slightly upturned bill. Reddish-brown forehead.Happy to be corrected.
