This is further evidence that the current US administration is a threat to Earth.
But I do wonder how many companies were prosecuted for killing birds under the pre-Trump rule. Often governments pass rules as window dressing to show their constituents that they're doing something. Action to execute sensible laws is so often lacking.
And were companies prosecuted for destroying birds through habitat destruction?
I do not know about any prior prosecutions - but the latest change is a green light to companies that they can be as reckless and careless as they want in harming birds and the habitat, and just as long as its not to blatantly deliberate they will get away with it.
That’s true, Whistling Duck. At least having a law, even if it’s not enforced, contributes to a wildlife friendly culture.
Under the current US administration anything goes environmentally. Hopefully, the ethics of wildlife destruction (indeed, Earth destruction) will eventually become a major, if not the major, issue.
