This little guy is between two worlds, it seems. The thing that stuck me was the circle around the eye. Beenleigh, SEQ.

Does seem to have a bit of "Lovely Fairy Wren" about it, with the lores, Black bill and mottled chest/flank. Tail too long though?

I would say you're right on the money Greyson.
We really only get the 3 species of fairy wren around here - Superb, Variegated and Red-backed - and this is definitely a variegated based on the red and blue colouring.
