I have searched through my Bird GUide several times and can find no solid match for this bird, the closest i can find is the Australasiian Pipit but I seems to slender for that and not 'streaky' enough. This bird was spotted near Georgetown, Queensland.
Tawny Grassbird maybe?
Tawny Grassbird on eBird
I was thinking maybe a Rufuous Songlark, because the Tawny Grassbird's tail and colour look vastly different
Could be female R.Songlark, just can't make out rufous rump-upper tail coverts. Likely you are correct.
