Evening all
Spent time at Braeside Park in Victoria today, I think I might have seen a Striated Thornbill. Little blighter was moving fast and I only have terrible photos... might be a regular Brown Thornbill but I'm hopeful. Any assistance appreciated :)
I've posted a few heavily cropped photos as well as one that I did a bit of work on to try and get a workable image.
Hard to tell from those pics Tommy. Cant quite see the eye colour there - Brown has noticeably red eye, Striated paler brown eye. And the pale head straking is normally obvious in striated - but just can't quite see. Try Australian Bird ID facebook page, they have real experts there who can help.
