A nice finale to your Noosa shoot - and you nailed that Noisy Friarbird in a lovely setting, George.

Just noticed that you shot the Corella at Tewantin where I once stayed with my parents at the Royal Mail Hotel in 1942(?) where my dad was attending a conference. I vividly recall QLD delegates taking us to Noosa Heads that in those days was just a lovely deserted golden beach, unrecognisable for what it was when I re-visited there in the 80's.

It's no longer that deserted golden beach. The Sacred KF in my previous post was taken in a stand of mangroves, right across from the posh Sheraton Hotel.
The birding was as good as any other location due to the surrounding national parks.

I can believe that George. By default we humans in our attempt to "possess it" have a knack of trashing all places of great beauty. Anyway, to end on a positive note I can see that QLD is still a birder's paradise and I need to get up there soon, perhaps next winter when as now birds are thin in the air down here.

Yes I agree with Raoul - your noisy friarbird does look more handsome than most. Very sharp as well
