Mid-north coast pics

Here are some pics from my mid-north coast trip last week.

1. Shining Bronze-cuckoo at Ryans Cut, Hat Head NP.

I went to Saltwater, Laurieton, Port Macquarie, Hat Head, Crescent Head, and even got some surfing in. woot!

Great shots Steve, especially the bronze-cuckoo, I have never seen one, was it hard to get a shot? Thanks for sharing.
looking out the window here in melbourne makes me shiver at the thought of surfing!!

Hev, I think i was just lucky to see the bronze-cuckoo. He just sat there for a while, maybe warming up.
Its warm up here today. and tomorrow, :)

For sheer good looks gotta hand it to the bronze cuckoo, but the Osprey and the Pitpit also have their charm.

ah... Steve, now you're just rubbing salt into the wound... it is blowing a gale here, lots of sirens going off and a power cut just as I was about to put dinner in oven for 6 friends.... ho hum, one and a half hours later it came back on but by that stage we'd polished off 5 bottles of red wine and lots of chips and dips and didn't want dinner anyway!It's a bit worrying being surrounded by gum trees in this weather
