Hi guys,
I've only registered yesterday...
but I've already spent hours admiring your photos!
Here are a few images I've been lucky enough to take over the last few years, all here in Kakadu National Park, at various locations.
Australian Pelican
Rainbow Pitta
Little Corellas
Forest Kingfisher -- one of my favourite shots
Rainbow Bee-Eater
Blue-Winged Kookaburra
Brolgas
Black-Necked Stork (female)
Bush Stone-Curlews
Comb-Crested Jacana
Azure Kingfisher
Darter (female)
Emu
Wandering Whistling Ducks
Little Pied Cormorant
Hello anja and welcome to BiBY!
Kakadu is on my list of must see places - your bird photos are wonderful; bush stone curlews, how unusual!
Regards, "Tark" - Olympus 4/3rds colour
Thanks heaps, Tark!
The photo of the curlews was taken in Dec 2007, a couple of days before the gates to Gunlom (Waterfall Creek) were locked for the wet season.
I was the only one staying in the campground that night -- but these young ones weren't too impressed with my presence...

Gidday Anja, welcome to the forum and thank you for sharing your shots with us, they are superb.
Welcome Anja - Kakadu is certainly a bird-watcher's paradise!
As I have a folio of failed Birds-in-flight photos, I especially like the Pelican!
HI Anja
Welcome to the forum it will be good to see your future posts if this is the first ( now pressure there)nice shots of birds we don't normally see thanks.
Welcome to the forum, Anja. What a great first post; those shots are great ! Kakadu would have to be my favourite location for birdwatching. Your Curlew shots remind me of "hunting" them by torchlight with my kids at the Jabiru caravan park. I look forward to seeing many more of your NT shots.
