Brown Falcon. (maybe the most trusting I’ve ever come across, allowed an approach across open ground to with in 10mtrs.)

What a great series of images. I just love the use of depth of field with the long lens of the first in flight shot, And the WB sea Eagle. I have never seen some of these birds close up.

You've done it again, ed. A great set of BoP shots. The Brown Falcon looks like a young(ish) bird. I've found juveniles to be a little more trusting than adults, too. Thanks for sharing.

Could be George, I had seen her from a ways off (100 or so meters) and while I was stopping the car a male flew in from nowhere , mated with her (much to the annoyance, or so it seemed, of another bird (male?) that was sitting in cover close by)and flew into cover. It was at that point I decided to approach, both male birds took off as soon as I started across the open ground between me and them but she sat and watched me all the way, only flying when I was very close. She only moved about 50m and then sat and watched me again approach her, this time a fence stopped me about 20m from where she sat, quite unconcerned about my second close approach. I find most birds very jumpy on a second approach.

Use what talents you possess; the woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang best
