I wish I had an owl near our place. We only get mynas and sparrows... Though I have seen a baby butcherbird down at the local park in some woodland. Nice photo of the butcherbird on its nest. Good photos.

Amateur you may have some there and not see them keep looking

Nothing here, I hear them in the area and in the yard but not at the nest something chased them I don't now what, When I check there was two broken eggs one dark and one you can see through.

Great find - persistance paid off. We have some visit from time to time but I'd love to have them nest
BTW, tawny frogmouths are not owls; they belong to a different scientific order. They are nocturnal but eat insects
How are the rosellas doing? I'm still trying to work out mine - at least one male is defending the box
