This little one was the last to leave the nest and hung around the bottom of the tree for a while before joining the others higher up when it started to get dark. It was only 16 days before that i saw eggs in the nest.

Fledgling Willy Wagtail
We had a nest of Wagtails on our washing line on the patio and they raised 3 young. They came back again just a few weeks ago, and laid 2 eggs, but another bird raided the nest, the eggs where dropped on the floor and they haven't been back since. We were thinking that once the nest has been raided they wouldn't use it again, is this right?
It was lovely to see them and to watch the young grow ever bigger than the nest could cope with. Feel so very lucky that they choose our patio, the other good thing about them been there we hadly saw a fly while they were there. Lovely photo
Love this pudgy little fellow Bushy, great shot. Why is it that every one else gets close to chicks and I never do!!

Angela - I think you may be right about the raided nest. I am not sure - someone else may know.
