Hi everyone
Today it was 41oC and the poor birds looked very hot when they visited in the late afternoon (sorry about the quality - it was the best I could do at this time). They all were holding their wings out.
Mr and Mrs Rosella are in the box and we have been watering it to try and keep the temperature down. We have had lots of rosellas visiting the 'pink surprise' grevillea, because I let it go to seed after flowering now, instead of pruning it, so the rosellas have something to eat in the yard.
The noisy miners like the swamp banksia
Eastern rosellas have ridged feet

Those galahs sure look hot, Birdie. That pink grevillea is one of my garden disasters. I gave up trying to grow this species after the third one died. :-((

Nice shots Birdgirl, I am glad its not that hot up here.
Good to hear you let the Grevillea go to seed Birdgirl. Nice pic, thanks for posting. I don't mind the Noisey Miners but you gotta love Rosellas.
