Hi Chinnu, have a look at the thread 'information/announcements' up above best photos thread. It helps you post photos, don't worry we have all been through the same difficulties as you...but once you get the hang of it , you'll find it's easy. Welcome to the site and look forward to seeing your pics.

Use what talents you possess; the woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang best

don't worry about deleting mistakes....we all went thru that. Well done for perservering and the good shots. Think your 'not sure' may be a butcherbird? someone else might have better suggestions tho.

Hi there,

Yes, I'd second hev's guess at "Not sure 2" as a juvenile pied butcherbird. I'm also in suburban Brissie and see heaps of them locally.

"Not sure 1" looks like a pigeon or dove of some sort, probably also a juvenile given it's fluffiness. My best guess (after loooking up my field guide) is a Common Bronzewing, but I'm not sure about that.

Cheers

Crested Pigeon

Amateur

Lol Al, I was going to say Crested Pigeon with out a crest, but it didn't make sense to me. I assume juveniles don't have a crest?
