galah x corella

Hi everyone
I had a great find today - a male galah x corella. He was alone, so he may be an adult or a juvenile that has already left his parents. I don't know whether one parent was a little corella or long-billed corella - they are both in our area. Maybe it is one of the brothers from last year, but I don't think so because the pattern is very mottled. He could be from the same parents though; I think this is the 4th year we have seen galah x corella juveniles

Hi Birdie
I seem to have got caught up with work and kids and don't go out anymore. It's wonderful when something special comes into the backyard though. Last week my favourites, 2 yellow-tailed black-cockatoos landed in our trees, but not long enough for a photo.
These are last year's 'gorellas' as we call them - the pattern is quite different, more watercolour

ah he's beautiful, very unusual markings. thanks and welcome back, missed your photos:)

Use what talents you possess; the woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang best
