Love the White-Breasted Woodswallows, they look like beautiful birds.
Another great set, hev. i love the raptor and Oystercatcher shots. North shore and Fraser Island were very productive for me too.

Nice work Hev. I went to fraser on my honeymoon (22 years ago)and we decided tour buss's weren't for us so we will go back when we have a 4x4 that can handle it. Just hate being hurried while I'm photographing.

Hey Trev...showing your age there...22years ago..lol mind you if I had stayed married I guess I'd be up there with you!
Well I'm not normally a 'tour' kinda person either.... but 4x4 driving on sand is so different to 'normal 4x4' and having seen lots of people 'bogged' last time I was there... and read about the japanese tourists killed in December thought I'd play it 'safe,'specially as I was with my sis and I didn't fancy explaining to her hubby why she couldn't come home:)
But we were so lucky with the guide, an environmentalist, been a ranger, worked in reserach for the government on Fraser Island...and doing tours for 15 years 'for the pleasure of sharing knowledge'...don't you just love those people? ask them anything about nature/wildlife/ecology/geology etc and they just knowthe answer (yes,I'm a little bit envious too I admit!) We had an amazing 3 days, and he was so patient with the photographing and barrage of questions!
Use what talents you possess; the woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang best
I suppose after 22 years you would expect the guides to be more environmentally orientated, It was a lot more comercially focused then. A nice change, I'm glad you and your sister enjoyed it. have you been to Calloola yet? It's similar to fraser I think.

Hi guys
If you are googling it Hev i think it would be Cooloola.
It's a vast area where you head off to Fraser, on the North Shore of Noosa, so you would have been through it or at least part of it. It stretches from rainbow Beach up to Fraser and into Fraser and inland towards Gympie I think.
