Hello to all,i have managed to get some shots of these Rose-crowned Fruit-Doves that are feeding in fig trees here at Tannun Sands. Also a shot of Rainbow Bee-eater,White-throated Neddletail, Red-tailed Black-Cockatoo, and a Whistling Kite.

Beautiful shots of the Rose crowned dove, especially no.2. Did you have to wait long for a shot like that? or did you just get lucky? thanks for sharing.
Use what talents you possess; the woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang best
CHEERS TO ALL THE COMENTS. HEVA1 THESE BIRDS WERE VERY NERVOUS AT FIRST BUT I WAITED FOR THEM TO GET USED TO MY PRESENCE AND GOOD SHOTS WERE THERE TO BE TAKEN. I HAVE BEEN WATCHING THESE BIRDS FOR A FEW HOURS EACH DAY TO STUDY THERE FEEDING HABITS WHICH MAKES THINGS EASIER.
Gidday Goshawk, your shots are brilliant and I have to back up Al's comment about the Needle Tail.....Just how you got that I will never know but its the best I have seen.

Wow, no doves like that in Melbourne. Very pretty birds and nice shots, all of them
really lovely shots Goshawk... well captured and you'd have to be quick for some of them.
The colours of the dove are like a rainbow aren't they ? so very pretty
