think there is something wrong with the resizing i'm having the same trouble as smeedingo2 on a previous post - even medium resizing is coming out way too big
Hi Myky there was a fault on Photobucket all ok now.
A good set there Myky but let down with PP it looks like you have taken the shots through a Misty lens or a foggy morning hope you don't mind re-worked the wren only took 1 minute.
the first one is your's
The second one I worked.
A Photo is only as good as the eyes that look at it.
hi bygum
well you were sorta right - wren through a dirty window and brown honeyeater through a flyscreen at a weird angle :)
i take what i can get
thanks for the rework :)
Oh wow... I was wondering what bird it was with the orange chin... now I see what you mean!!
Had to laugh Bygum, flyscreen and a dirty window!! Thats a new take on filtering for you . Just out of interest are you using photo shop?
BTW Myky, I shot a Leeuwins and a female golden whistler today from my desk using the same filtering system! LOL
Didn't post them as they were a bit obscure anyway. I was glad to have increased my tally from my desk all the same.
So far I have seen catbirds, noisy miners, whitebrowed scrub wren, black cockatoos, lorikeets, a python, leeuwins HE,pale headed rosellas Golden whistler, currawong, whipbird.... all without leaving my desk !! I call myself exceptionally fortunate to be able to do that :)
Cheers
it's okay smeedingo2 it was't you :) happy to help :P
the only way i can get close to them is through windows "Filters"
99% of my honeyeaters and wrens are through windows (which maybe i should clean :P ) i just get so excited to get that close
Myky, like me yes you should clean them, as sometimes it is the only way!! Can't tell you how many times I have snuck out the back door, crept round the side of the house, camera in hand and "poof" like a puff of smoke there's nothing there!
Bygum, I don't have Photoshop and can't afford it, but would like to learn it. Just have to make do with the ones I have I guess for now.
Cheers

Has anyone else had the problem that when you post it says no connection and then you find it has done it twice? I think it is more to do with our wireless system at home. This time I didn't even hit the try again button, I just refreshed my page and there it was ..twice.
Sorry for the repetition
I don't know, sometimes I will click post and it will double post and stuff. Birdie, couldn't you just download Photoshop? Love the sparrowhawk phoo, he looks slightly alarmed :)
I wish Amateur... I think the cheapest version is about $300 but the serious ones are upwards of $600.
There are other limited packages that I can use and that I have. I don't get into too much digital reworking as I like the photos to stay fairly natural. In truth I know very little about the possibilities with PS, and I just don't have the time or the brainpower at the moment to fit any more learning in!
Hi myky50 - thanks for sharing - I liked seeing the sparrowhawk - I haven't seen anything like that here. Thanks for your support the other day - I really appreciate it
oh wow, love the shots, especially the sparrowhawk-never seen let alone captured a good shot like that. I reckon you have to be quick even through windows, from my desk yesterday an eastern spinebill visited the birdbath, by the time I reached over to get my camera, vamoosh!! clean windows birdie? ...know a good windowcleaner? :)
Use what talents you possess; the woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang best
p.s I actually prefer the 1st shot of the superb fairy wren, the second looks 'overworked' and a little cardboard cut-out for my liking, just my humble personal opinion.
p.p.s.what is PP?
