All good birdie , but 1 is a ripper
A Photo is only as good as the eyes that look at it.
Beautiful in action shot of the pelican in number 1, that one big fish! Love the photos, your bird is indeed a red wattlebird, was the heron a white-faced heron? Hope you're havin fun
Yes Amateur, a white faced heron. Could have had a lovely sequence but for some reason I missed the focus on each one. Manual focus with glare maybe, but it was the first time for me seeing a heron in salt water, also the RWB was a first for me. Both taken at Terrigal. I have more of the pelicans to post. Good light made it irresistible Bygum.

Great shots - love the pelicans - I can see all the little blood vessels in the bill as well as that whopper fish
Thanks Birdgirl
Have to confess it was an easy catch ( pardon the pun !)
Just at the right place at the right time and had a little help from some fishermen. Got pretty excited by it through the lens though ! :)
If I can get myself out of bed in the morning in the freezing cold I may get to the Hunter Wetlands, or maybe the Fernleigh track or Glenrock. I am so cold here that it could be a struggle but tomorrow is my last day before heading North.
Hmmm....maybe Currumbin..... if there is a good bird show there!
Cheers

The bird show at Currumbin looked almost the same - I think the same person choreographed it. Still enjoyed it though
Those are amazing photos! I LIKE pelicans.
