Lovely surprise late this afternoon - 5:16 pm so light is poor - a pair of king parrots in our feeder! Not only that but a female rosella got into the box today - I could hear her rearranging the leaves and saw her come up and look out of the hole. Fingers crossed!

King parrots
I've had a pair of King Parrots turn up just before dusk every day lately, but they go as quick as they come.
Good luck with the Rosellas Birdgirl.
That feeder looks like the go.

Oh lucky you! We have heaps of them around but although I hear them, I rarely get to see them as they are on top of the canopy . However a black wattle split in two and fell into our creek last week, which had to be completely removed by the council and now leaves me with a clear view to spot them with hopefully.
Hope your Rosies beat those pesky mynahs off.
BTW, I was lucky enough to get really close to 3-4 yellow tail blacks this morning, of course with no camera with me. Unusually they were so quiet, and flew like wraiths over my head before I realised what they were. Then I got to watch them as they very lazily chomped on the bark of some thin saplings. I took a video on my phone, but I don't hold much hope for it.
Cheers

Thanks Al. Our feeder is great - my husband made it from the kids old swing set - you probably haven't seen it, being relatively new to the forum
Birdie lucky you for seeing the YTBCs. When I was at the Hunter Sports Centre a flock of 11 flew over. I guessed what they were straight away because they flew slowly and all out of synch, like a group of toys with batteries at different stages of life. I've never seen so many at once, usually only 1-3
Tell him he's a genius, that looks amazing and seems very well patronized I notice :)
I love recycling, my bird baths are old bases from large plant pots.
