thanks i posted the photo because of comments i made on another thread BOP don't like you to get to close when there hunting so using a 300mm and a mono pod i take photos 100-150m away then crop photo the pod makes it so much easier to get a usable photo

Good advice on the pod thanks, I will have to try it. Between my eyesight and needing damned glasses then removing t hem to use the diopter, then having shaking hands it is so frustrating lately! Then I lose track of teh bird and have to put the glasses back on and start again LOL

no that photo was taken with a rattly old sigma f4 it was overcast so i had the shutter down to 500 i thought what the hell and just got lucky
Ha ha Sparrow, rattly old sigma.... I laughed when I saw that!
Great shot for such a humble piece of equipment then!
