I was commenting in another post that there is only one out of five ducklings left along the creek bank for this mother. She is very careful of it now and it was really lovely to see the way she led it through the grass and in and out of the stream as she watched me over the other side and determined whether I was a threat or not.
Hope you enjoy them too.
The little one is so pretty. I hope it survives. I like the last photo especially
Like you with your juv BSKs I had a heap of shots.... showing her leading it through the grass and it would peep it's little head out to see if I was still there. But I didn't want to bore everyone with too many! I felt like the great white hunter stalking through the bushes!! LOL

yeah love the last shot particularly, she looks so in snyc with her duckling. I wonder what happened to her others?
Use what talents you possess; the woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang best
Well I can tell you one thing, it wasn't your avatar!!!
Probably cats, other birds such as crows, BOP etc I guess.
I found a dead echidna in a creek today, you'd have to wonder what kind of predator can get it's teeth around that

again Birdie, great work- I like the first shot and the duckling on its lonesome in the water.
Oxalis is not my friend
Top shots Birdie.
