Oh yessssss, they are beautiful Bygum. Pin sharp and vibrant. Guess you'll be finding lots of little stuff where you have moved to.
Good luck with the birding in your new home

I wish I was just starting out Bygum, then I would still think I have more hope of getting the right gear :)
Photography has been my hobby for over 20 years, but for at least half of that I was lucky enough to work for Canon so had access to any L lenses and pro gear that I wanted.
I was wondering, on these shots , did you do much post production stuff? I think from memory you use Photoshop don't you? Or are these beautiful results straight off the camera?
Ok..That is pretty much all I ever do too, though I am still learning about curves etc, I don't have Photoshop but Canon has that Digital Pro stuff, and I use that a bit.
I am a bit of a purist too, I think you need to get it right on camera .
We will look forward to some Victorian stuff then.

A Photo is only as good as the eyes that look at it.
Bygum, what is the f stop on that lens? One day I will own a decent lens, but it has to remain on the back burner for a while yet !
