For the last few days galahs have been looking at the nesting boxes. Today a male spent ages on the rosella box, even rubbing his face on it to mark it. However the rosellas came back and got very angry. He flew straight down to the galah box. The galahs always try to get in the rosella box first because it is higher, but we can't let them nest there because they will kill the tree

Cool, how do you differentiate them.. is it the size of the hole?
Sunshine Coast Queensland
The galah box is bigger and taller and has a 12 cm hole and the rosella box is smaller with an 8 cm hole. We used the measurements in John Dengate's book
