I went out for a while today - saw two brown falcons at a distance, lots of eastern rosellas in hollows, and an egret. The last is of a rainbow lorikeet in our pink surprise grevillea. Oh and on the way home from school I saw 2 male king parrots on the ground when I didn't have my camera! And on Saturday I didn't take my camera to Hunter Valley Gardens so I could concentrate on my family - and I saw heaps of great birds.

Nice Birdgirl... ha ha I already saw them on Flickr ... kind of takes the surprise out of it though especially if there is a story to go with it at times.
I love egrets, and it's nice to see the rosella in a hollow... those colours are unreal aren't they?

Oh that's good that you can still access my page. I didn't know if I had blocked everyone. I only want friends to see them, not have them taken and posted elsewhere without my knowledge. The parrots are gorgeous - you should have seen the king parrots today - they were so close! I've been working on my garden - today I got 5 bags of sand and 5 of native soil. I'll post a photo when it's done. I also bought a wattle with orange flowers today!
To be honest I can't really understand all that licence stuff on Flickr. Mine are open but with a licence I think. I only put bird shots on there anyway.

I always love the Eastern Rosella shots birdgirl - their colours are just so vivid, especially against the grey of a gum.
.
Still no rosellas in my nest box, but the male is still hanging around locally (and peering at house and car windows), which is nice.
Cheers
